The Golden Eagles started their season off strong with the 32-13 win over Chabot College! The Eagles dominant defense was on full display Saturday as they found themselves in Chabot's backfield with regularity. Jaziel Livingston was a defensive standout, recording a sack and blocking a punt. Cam Foster added to the defensive show, intercepting a pass and returning it all the way for a Feather River touchdown. Loni Tafea and River Hurst found their way to the quarterback, racking up a sack each, while Sam Logoai snagged an interception as well.
On offense, it was more success for the Eagles. Ryan Vaughn was efficient with his passing, completing 12 of his 18 attempts, mixing in a touchdown to Poki Tafea. Levi Andrews and Jeryll McIntosh each scored rushing touchdowns as well.
The Eagles look to improve to 2-0 this weekend as they travel to the bay area to face Contra Costa College in Richmond on Saturday at 1 PM.
