Men's Soccer Undefeated in Conference Play

Coming off the conference opener win against College of the Siskiyous, the Men's Soccer team has beat College of the Redwoods and Lassen College as well as tying against Lake Tahoe College 0-0 and Butte College 1-1. The defense in all four games has been tremendous in their success on the field.  

Feather River beat Redwoods 4-0 with help from #31 Jack Cook  and #0 Canaan Newman who split halves where they combined a total of five saves keeping a clean sheet. On offense, #23 Ryan Tappouras scored two out of the four goals with one assist. Defense kept the Golden Eagles in the game against the Lake Tahoe Coyotes on October 10th. Feather River defense included #29 Zane Pederson, #15 Armando Salazar Hernandez, #3 Noah Stanley, #66 Toby Evans-Gilham, #21 Omar Yearwood and #31 Jack Cook who all helped keep a clean game against a tough Lake Tahoe offense.  

The Butte Roadrunners in the game on October 13th scored late in the first half making them take the lead 1-0. In the second half #11 Donovan Hernandez came off the bench scoring the first goal for the Golden Eagles in the 70th minute of the game. The assist to the goal was from #77 Peter Hamill and #23 Ryan Tappouras. The Golden Eagles then took on the Lassen College Cougars October 17th where they won 4-0. Keeping a clean sheet was a dual effort from #1 Nathan Scargill and #0 Canaan Newman.  

Scoring two out of the four goals was #23 Ryan Tappouras with an assist from #1 Nathan Scargill and #9 Justin Kapp on one of the goals. Each scoring an unassisted goal were #66 Toby Evans-Gilham and #1 Nathan Scargill.
