Nolan enters his 6th season on the Golden Eagles baseball staff. He is a graduate of Chico High School where he was a star pitcher. He played his college baseball at West Valley College in Saratoga, California for 2 seasons in 2010 and 2011. Coach Atkins then transferred to a NCAA D1 school in Texas where he finished his college pitching career at the University of Texas Pan-American in 2014. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in General Studies from UTPA.
After graduation Nolan spent time at Driveline in Seattle working with various pitching instructors and coaching for the Chico Rice summer team. He also spent the 2019, 2022, and 2023 summers coaching in the Northwoods League in Iowa, Wisconsin, and Canada. Nolan is currently single and resides in Quincy.
