The Men's basketball team improved to 4-1 in conference play following their victory over Shasta College this past Wednesday. The Golden Eagles gained the lead early on, in the contest and never relinquished it. Freshman TJ Steed registered another double double, scoring 21, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing out 7 assists on the night. Three other starters recorded double digit scoring as Derrick Monroe dropped 23, Jerel Victor with 18, and Josh Carr with 10 to round out the night. Shasta made it a game however and kept it close to the end. Feather River would eventually prevail and win 88-86.
The Golden Eagles then hit the road to Eureka, CA to play College of the Redwoods Saturday February 3rd. Feather River lost the game but had sophomore Marquis Hall-Wagner having a double double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. The Golden Eagles play again this upcoming Wednesday, February 7th at home against Lassen College. Wednesday's tip-off is slated for 6pm.
