Feather River Wins Big at 81st Annual Poly Royal Rodeo

San Luis Obispo- The Feather River College rodeo team had an outstanding showcase last weekend at the Annual Poly Royal rodeo. The rodeo consisted of a one header hosted by Cuesta College and a long/short go format hosted by Cal Poly State University.

The Feather River College Men's team won the first rodeo with a total of 891 points and finished second in the next rodeo with 810 points. The FRC Women's team finished 5th in the first rodeo and 3rd in the second rodeo. The Men's team is currently sitting 2nd in the region 9 points behind Cal Poly State University and the Women are ranked 5th in the region.  

 

Top Performers Rodeo #1 – Cuesta One Header

Caden Grisedale won the Men's All-Around title.

Cole Dodds finished 4th in the All-Around.

Cobie Dodds finished 5th in the All-Around.

Alexander Kruger finished 6th in the All-Around, 3rd in the team roping, 7th in the tie-down roping.

Davis Mardesich won the saddle bronc riding.

Caden Grisedale finished 4th in the saddle bronc riding, 2nd in the team roping, and won the steer wrestling.

Cobie Dodds finished 6th in the tie-down roping, 4th in the team roping, and 6th in the steer wrestling.

Cole Dodds finished 3rd in the steer wrestling and 4th in the team roping.  

Kolton King finished 2nd in the team roping (header).

Joseph Rawls finished 7th in the team roping.

Austin Van Nest finished 3rd in the team roping.

Garrett Shell finished 7th in the team roping.

Kylie Askew finished 8th in the team roping.

Emily Kramer finished 4th in the goat tying.

 

Top Performers Rodeo #2 – Cal Poly Long/Short Go

Cole Dodds finished 2nd in the All-Around.

Cody Stewart finished 3rd in the All-Around.

Cobie Dodds finished 4th in the All-Around.

Cody Stewart won the tie-down roping buckle with a combined time of 19.5 and finished 3rd in the team roping.

Cole Dodds won the team roping buckle with a 14.3 on two steers in the team roping and placed 2nd in the tie-down with a combined time of 22.1.

Cobie Dodds won the team roping buckle with a 14.3 on two and finished 5th in the tie-down with a combined time of 25.1.

Garrett Shell finished 6th with a combined time of 27.7 in the steer wrestling.

Austin Van Nest placed 7th in the steer wrestling.

Davis Mardesich finished 9th in the team roping.

Kylie Askew finished 6th with a 23.4 on two head in the team roping.

Kamish Wagner tied for 3rd place in the breakaway average with a 6.0 on two head.

Emily Kramer placed 5th with a 14.2 on two in the goat tying.
