The Golden Eagles open their season this weekend in the Monterey Peninsula College Tournament. Slated against both Consumnes River and Monterey Peninsula, FRC looks to build off an impressive season last year, in which they finished with a 25-16 record, a second-place finish in the Golden Valley Conference and a berth in the 3C2A state playoffs. The Eagles boast a unique lineup this year, returning four from last year's squad, while adding three sophomore transfers and six freshmen. The coaching staff is eager for their team to showcase its talent and ability to compete at a high level. "The freshman class is a strong group that fit in well with our program. Our sophomore class consists of four returners and three transfers. The returning players have done a great job leading by example in the off-season and their experience here at FRC has been an asset to the team. Our transfer players fit right in with the team, and they have completely bought into our system and the championship mindset." – FRC Coaching staff

This mindset has helped the Golden Eagles win five Golden Valley Conference titles and have multiple playoff appearances. The Golden Eagles as a team are known for their high energy, good spirit, and hardworking mentality. Feather River Softball will host their first home game March 6^th versus Mendocino College. "FRC softball is special to watch! We are high energy, we have talent, and we play good softball. Our fans will be treated to a fast-paced well-played game every time they come out and watch. Fans will not be disappointed. We appreciate all of the support that the FRC student body and staff give us.
