Coach Hackett graduated from Westwood High School in 2015 where she averaged 10 points and 8 rebounds a game over the course of four seasons. Following high school, Coach Hackett received the opportunity to compete for Feather River College for both the Volleyball and Basketball programs. During her time with FRC, Coach Hackett helped lead women’s basketball to its best season in school history. During that year the Golden Eagles went 20-9 and hosted the first round of playoffs where Coach Hackett played a big role. Coach Hackett had a number of offers to continue playing basketball, but she decided she wanted to start pursuing her career in Health and Exercise Science. She graduated in 2019 with her AA degree in Health and Exercise Studies where it instantly got her working towards her career. Coach Hackett has 5 years experience working in the training room at FRC where she helps athletes with treatment, rehab, and game prep. Coach Hackett shares her love and passion for the game with the younger kids being a Head Coach at the High School level for two and a half years.
Coach Hackett has been a great asset to the women’s basketball program says head coach, Coach Johnson. “She brings the experience of playing at the Junior College level and mentors the players on a daily basis”.
