Quincy - The Feather River College Golden Eagle Volleyball team started the season 3-1 over the weekend. The Golden Eagles swept Sacramento City College and Sierra College 3-0 on Friday (8/26). On Saturday (8/27) the Godlen Eagles started with a tough 3-2 loss to American River College but bounced back with a 3-0 victory against De Anza College.

Hannah Taylor led the charge offensively and defensively for the Golden Eagles over the four matches. Taylor recorded 54 kills and 14 blocks over the four matches, with a high of 17 kills against American River College. Taylor's performance earned her California Community College Women's Volleyball Coaches Association (CCCWVCA) Player of the Week for Nothern California.

Up next for the Golden Eagles is the Feather River College Classic on Wednesday (8/31), which will feature Cabrillo College and Sierra College. Feather River College will play Cabrillo College at 11:00am and then Sierra College at 3:00pm in Quincy.
