Golden Eagles Start Conference Play, Win Streak To Twenty-One

Quincy - The Feather River College Golden Eagle Volleyball team finished last week with a perfect 4-0 record, including a 1-0 Golden Valley Conference start. FRC swept Lassen College on Wednesday (10/5). Saturday (10/8), the Golden Eagles traveled to Santa Cruz to attempt to complete a triple header. In the morning, the Golden Eagles swept Cabrillo College. In the afternoon, FRC defeated Fresno City College 3-1. In the evening, Feather River took on Division III UC Santa Cruz and defeated them 3-1. 

Last night (10/12) the Golden Eagles were back in Golden Valley Conference play as they traveled to College of the Redwoods and they come out victories with a 3-0 victory.  

The Golden Eagles have now increased their winning streak to 21 matches, a 2-0 conference record, and an overall record of 23-1. 

Nellie Stevenson recorded 154 assists over the 4 matches, statistics for the College of the Redwoods game were not available at time of article. Stevenson leads the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) in assists with 694 on the season. Carissa Chainey had 50 kills and Ava Saiers had 54 digs.

Up next for the Golden Eagles is a home match against College of the Siskiyous on 10/14 at 6:00pm.
