Golden Eagles Suffer Hard Fought Loss On The Road To Reedley After Game Expiring Field Goal

Freshman kicker Chris Rapoza from Kapaa' ,HI drilled a 37 yard field goal late in the game to tie the contest at 28 a piece in a tough 31- 28 road loss at Reedley College.  Feather River tallied 22 first downs and 356 yards of total offense on the afternoon.  Freshman Quarterback Michael Kearns III  completed 12 of 19 pass attempts for 127 yards and two touchdowns.  Kearns III added 45 yards in rushing offense.  Freshman running-back Janerious Jackson lead all rushers with 74 yards on the ground, while Sophomore H-Back Trace Patterson from Sparks, Nevada caught 6 balls for 36 yards.  Linebacker Marco Casci  led the Golden Eagles with 7 total tackles, one for a loss, and added a rushing touchdown on offense.  Freshman defensive back Michael Bryant intercepted his fourth pass in five games.  The Golden Eagles will play next on Saturday, October 19th at Feather River College - game time is 1:00 PM.
