Coach Nick Goulet enters his fourth season as the Golden Eagles Head Coach. In three seasons, Goulet has guided the Feather River Football program from the worst in the state to a level of respectability. This upcoming season, Goulet looks to solidify Feather River College Football in the NorCal conference. Goulet will be directing the Defense and working with the secondary for this upcoming season.
In his first two seasons, FRC saw its win total increase in each season following a winless campaign in 2016. Since, Feather River has witnessed their first home win in three years, beating the College of Sequoias 41-6 (2018) and first conference win in in five years beating College of the Siskiyous 45-42 (2019). Since his arrival thirteen players have received All-Conference honors and forty-seven players have earned scholarship offers.
Hired in 2017 as the new head football coach for Feather River College. Goulet, a product of the California junior college system himself, comes to FRC from Chabot College, located in Hayward, CA.
Coach Goulet brings 16 years of coaching experience to the Golden Eagles, 10 of which was at Chabot as the Offensive Coordinator and most recently the head football coach before accepting the position at FRC
While at Chabot, his team set 30 offensive school records, won 5 Golden Gate Conference championships, had 6 bowl game appearances, was the 2013 Central Division Champions, and played in the 2014 and 2015 CCCAA state playoffs. Coach Goulet’s 2015 scoring offense was ranked #2 in the state with 48 PPG and #4 offense overall (471 YPG). He’s coached 7 All Conference players, 4 Conference MVP’s, and 3 All State Quarterbacks.
His early career as a player began at Chabot College, and then transferred to Mayville State University in North Dakota where he was a two-year starter and team captain. At Mayville, he received his Bachelor of Science degree as a double major in Physical Education and Sport Management. Goulet also has his Masters’ degree in Kinesiology from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, CA.
Married to his high school sweetheart, Barbara, for 15 years, they have a daughter, Adrian, who is 12 years old.
