Coach Hamler will be entering his fourth season at Feather River. In addition to his on-field duties, Hamler aids in the training of athletes through the Golden Eagle Strength and Conditioning program.
During his three prior seasons at Feather River College, Hamler coached Jaime Taylor, an All-Conference Wide Receiver who was offered a scholarship to Division II powerhouse, Northwest Missouri State University.
Coach Hamler comes to FRC after spending the 2016 season as Wide Receiver Coach at Chabot College. During that season, Hamler led a group that went on to have four WR's with over twenty catches and three WR's average over 15 YPC. This was highlighted by WR Alan Busey's All Valley Conference selection and Division I scholarship to UTEP.
Hamler began his coaching and training career in 2014 when he began working with athletes and personal training out of a Sacramento based facility. It is this work which fostered his passion for working with young men and developing the whole person.
Prior to coaching, Hamler signed as an undrafted free agent and spent parts of three seasons with the Denver Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL. At Fresno State, Hamler rounded out his stellar career as he was named 2nd Team All WAC as a junior in 2010.
Hamler is a native of Oakland, CA. He is married to his wife, Tara.
