Las Vegas, NV - The Feather River College Rodeo Team had a great showing this past weekend at the West Coast Regional Finals Rodeo held by the University of Las Vegas, NV placing second both days. The men's team finished out the season in second place with 5,541.5 points behind Cal Poly State University with 5,813 points. FRC is ranked 6th in the national standings with Cal Poly in 5th place. It was a hard fought battle back and forth between 1st and 2nd place for both programs all season. Five of our top rodeo students will be representing Feather River College at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, WY which takes place June 11th-17th - Caden Grisedale, Cody Stewart, Cobie Dodds, Cole Dodds, and Kolton King.
Top Performers Rodeo #1 – University of Las Vegas
Brendan Mendosa finished 2nd in the bareback riding.
Kolton King won 2nd in the tie-down roping.
Cobie Dodds finished 4th in the tie-down roping.
Cole Dodds landed 6th in the tie-down roping.
Joseph Rawls finished 8th in the tie-down roping and 7th in the team roping.
Davis Mardesich won 4th in the steer wrestling.
Caden Grisedale won 6th in the steer wrestling.
Kylie Askew finished 7th in the team roping.
Cody Stewart finished 5th in the team roping.
Top Performers Rodeo #2 – University of Las Vegas
Cole Dodds won the All-Around winning the round in the tie-down roping and finishing 2nd in the team roping.
Cobie Dodds finished 2nd in the All-Around winning 4th in the tie-down, 6th in the steer wrestling, and 2nd in the team roping.
Emily Kramer finished 6th in the All-Around placing 8th in the breakaway roping and 5th in the goat tying.
Caden Grisedale won 6th in the tie-down roping and 7th in the team roping.
Joseph Rawls won 3rd in the steer wrestling.
Kolton King won 7th in the team roping.
Kamish Wagner placed 8th in the team roping with Jonathan Pasch.
