Mac Baker steps into his role as Assistant Woman's Basketball Coach, and Recruiting Coordinator Southern California Region at Feather River College with many well rounded years of experience. He has been Director of Options Basketball Academy for 8 years winning several tournaments each year all over the Western United States. In 2022, Baker won 6th/7th and 8th grade basketball District Championships as Head Coach at Tropico Middle School.
Baker's commitment to his players is clear with having multiple athletes playing college basketball at all levels, including one athlete playing Division I. Baker has mentored these athletes both on and off the court, even taking his athletes to their college recruiting campus visits.
Academically, Baker holds a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice Administration and an Associates Degree in General Studies.
After high school, Baker joined the United States Marine Corp serving 8 years and reaching the rank of Sergeant. He served overseas twice in Afghanistan and Africa. The military taught him hard work and discipline to which he applies to his coaching style and it shows in the athletes he has developed.
With his extensive experience in coaching and personal development, Mac Baker is prepared to influence a culture of hard work and discipline at Feather River College, pushing the Woman's Basketball Program towards a successful future!
