
The Feather River College Football team nearly pulled off a tremendous comeback on Saturday versus Sierra College at home. Freshman Defensive Back Michael Bryant from Goodyear, AZ took matters into his own hands with just two minutes left in the contest and down by 8 points, when he simply took the football from a Sierra ball carrier and raced 27 yards into the end zone. Unfortunately, the two point conversion attempt failed and the Golden Eagles lost 42-40, despite scoring two touchdowns in the final 3 minutes of the game. Las Vegas, Nevada's Michael Kearns III completed 20 of 27 passes for 240 yards and one touchdown. Janerious Jackson led all rushers for the second straight week while compiling 125 yards on 31 attempts and scoring one touchdown. Jeremiah Nash from Stockton, CA once again connected with Kearns III for a long 1st quarter touchdown reception and finished the day with 116 receiving yards. Defensive Lineman Aidan Flores recorded 5 tackles, including one for a loss, and one sack. Defensive Back Michael Bryant finished the day with 4 tackles, one pass break-up, and a fumble recovery for a touchdown. The Golden Eagles play next on Saturday, October 26th versus Shasta College, game time is 5:00 PM.
