Feather River College Women's Basketball program is proud to announce the addition of Ananda "AJ" Jackson as the first player on campus for the 2025-2026 roster. Joining us from Las Vegas, Nevada, AJ's journey to Feather River is not just a major athletic milestone, but a personal one as well.

A 2024 graduate of Cheyenne High School, AJ is breaking new ground and becoming the first person in her family to attend college. This accomplishment is an influential mark of resilience and determination for both AJ and her family, who have always supported her goals. For AJ, this is more than just a step toward her future, it's a moment of extreme pride for herself and her loved ones.

"I've always wanted to make my family proud, and being the first to go to college feels like I'm opening a door for them," AJ said. "I'm excited for what's ahead, and I know this is just the beginning."

AJ is known for her work ethic and commitment to personal growth, AJ is already putting in the effort to prepare for her upcoming season. With a focus on improving her skills, she's determined to make an impact both on and off the court. Her determination to better herself sets the stage for a bright future at Feather River, and we can't wait to see what she brings to the team.

We're excited to welcome AJ to the Feather River community, and we're confident that her journey will inspire others who face similar challenges. AJ's story is one of breaking barriers, setting goals, and forging a path that will inspire future generations.

Welcome to Feather River, AJ. The future is bright!
