Building on her playing experience, Alyssa Castillo is starting her third year as an assistant coach at FRC. Her role allows her to impart her knowledge and passion for the game to a new generation of athletes, fostering both individual skill development and team cohesion. Alyssa Castillo brings a wealth of experience and passion for athletics to her coaching role, shaped by both her successful collegiate career and subsequent coaching journey.
Collegiate Playing Career:
- Freshman and Sophomore Years at FRC: Alyssa Castillo began her collegiate journey at FRC, where she quickly made her mark as a standout athlete. Her sophomore year culminated in being recognized with First Team All-Conference honors, showcasing her dedication and skill on the field.
- Transfer to LSUS: Transitioning to Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS), Alyssa continued to excel academically and athletically. She graduated with a degree in Community Health & Exercise Science, underscoring her commitment to understanding and promoting holistic health and wellness.
- Senior Year at LSUS: In her senior year, Alyssa Castillo earned Second Team All-Conference honors, demonstrating her consistent performance and leadership within the team.
- Athletic Recognition: Alyssa was also awarded the prestigious title of Unsung Hero of the 2022 athletic class at LSUS, a testament to her character, work ethic, and impact beyond statistics.
